A software company for livestock.
Custom software
for livestock
and ag.
Mule is a software company for livestock and ag businesses. We build herd and animal records, EID tag and scale data capture, intake and yard tools, hauling and dispatch, grower and customer portals, dashboards on your own data, and offline field apps that keep working when the signal drops.
Websites and brand are still part of what we do, for ag businesses specifically, but they’re the smaller line now. Every project is quoted from your own brief, never a price list. Your domain and data stay yours on every plan.
Why we build
for
livestock.
Livestock and ag businesses run on paper, whiteboards, and spreadsheets that don’t talk to each other, kept by people who know where every animal is because they’ve always known, not because a system tells them. That holds up until someone’s out sick, a delivered count doesn’t match the record, or someone asks for a paper trail that isn’t there.
Since November 2024, USDA APHIS has required the official ear tags on covered cattle and bison moving interstate to be both visually and electronically readable. Rules like that reward an operation whose animal data already lives in one place, captured on a phone that keeps working when the signal drops in the back forty. That’s the kind of system we build.
How we
work.
- 01
Every project is quoted from your own brief. No packages, no tiers, and no published price to reverse-engineer your scope from.
- 02
Buy it once and you own it. Or subscribe with nothing down, and we own and run it until you buy it out, on a buyout that falls every month until it is free.
- 03
We work remotely, over calls, video, and shared screens, and come on site when a project needs it. Travel is quoted with the work.
- 04
A real person answers. Call or text +1 734 564 3118, or email info@mule-digital.com.
A short list
of things
we won’t do.
- 01
Honest imagery. Footage that's illustrative rather than a capture of a live system is labeled that way, every time.
- 02
Your domain and your data are yours on every plan. On the project, we tell you exactly where you stand.
- 03
Plain language. “Call us” beats “Let’s connect.” Every time.
- 04
If AI helps draft something, a human edits at least a third of the words before it ships.

Who is behind Mule?
Mule is a software company; we speak as Mule rather than as individuals. A real person answers every call, text, and email, and writes back on every quote request.
Why does Mule focus on livestock and ag?
Livestock and ag operations need something most software doesn't offer: records that work with no signal, ear-tag capture at the point of sale, and a system that follows one animal from source to sale instead of four separate paper trails. That's what we build, and it's what we know best.
Does Mule use AI in its work?
Yes. AI helps with first drafts of long-form copy and structural ideas. A human edits at least a third of the words before anything ships.
What does 'owner-of-record' mean?
It means who actually controls the assets behind your system, and we answer it in two parts because the honest answer has two parts. Your domain and your data are registered in your name and stay yours on every plan, whatever happens. The project itself is yours on completion if you buy it once. If you subscribe with nothing down, Mule owns and runs it until you buy it out, and the buyout price falls every month until it reaches zero and the project becomes yours for free.
