Software for seedstock breeders.

Mule builds pedigree and performance record systems for seedstock and purebred breeders, tied to the registry data you already track, plus websites and brand work built for sale day, since how the herd is presented is part of the job. Software leads; presentation supports it.

01 · How we frame it

What we know about seedstock breeders.

Seedstock operations carry more record types than a commercial herd: pedigree, registry paperwork from the breed association, EPDs and performance data like weaning and yearling weights, plus whatever you're tracking for your own selection decisions. That's often split across the registry's own portal, a spreadsheet for performance data, and a sale catalog built fresh, by hand, every year from whatever's current at the time.

When a buyer at a sale asks a real question about an animal's numbers, the answer needs to come from a record that's actually current, not last year's catalog or a spreadsheet somebody forgot to update after the last weigh day.

02 · Why we’re a fit

Why a seedstock breeder picks Mule.

  • 01Herd records that tie your registry and pedigree data to your own performance numbers, in one place you control.
  • 02EID tag capture with a paired Bluetooth reader and manual entry, so tag reads land against the right animal's full record.
  • 03Dashboards for the performance data buyers actually ask about, weaning and yearling weights, without a spreadsheet rebuilt for every sale.
  • 04A website and sale materials built to represent the herd the way it deserves, not a generic template every other seedstock operation is also using.
Common questions

From seedstock breeders.

  • Can the system capture our animals' EID tags?

Yes, with a paired Bluetooth reader and manual entry as the fallback when a tag won't read. Animal RFID tags follow the ISO 11784/11785 standards, so reads are compatible with standard EID tags regardless of who applied them.

  • We've got pedigree and performance data spread across a spreadsheet and the registry's own site. Can you bring both in?

Yes. Bringing in your existing pedigree and performance records, and building the structure to keep pulling from your registry data going forward, is part of the build.

  • Who owns the herd and performance data once it's built?

You do. It's your herd's data, we build the system around it and you keep it, sale catalog, performance history and all, whatever happens with the build later.

  • We need a real sale website too, not just records software. Do you do that?

Yes. Software is the lead line, herd and performance records, but we also build websites and brand work, and for a seedstock operation, how the herd is presented at sale time is part of the job, not an afterthought.

  • How is something like this priced?

From your actual herd and what you're already tracking, registry integration, performance data, whether you need a sale website built alongside it. There's no published price list; you describe the operation and get a real quote back.
