Herd & animal records
One record per animal, from the ear tag to the sale, instead of a notebook only one person can read.
A record per animal that follows the tag, not a spreadsheet only one person understands.
Most herds still live in a mix of paper cards, a notebook that rides in the truck, and a spreadsheet somebody updates when they remember. None of those talk to each other, and none of them survive the person who keeps them leaving. We build the record that replaces all three: one entry per animal holding its tag number, birth or purchase date, weight, treatment history, movement between pens or locations, and whatever else your operation actually tracks.
Entry starts at the tag. We read EID ear tags over a paired Bluetooth reader where you already have one, and we build manual entry for the animals that will not read, so nobody is stuck waiting on hardware. A record like this can carry EID capture at purchase, a per-animal record that follows the animal through depot intake, grower placement, and shipment, and a trace back to the packer's carcass data by ear tag.
The record is built around your operation's own terms, pens, lots, loads, whatever unit you actually think in. Reports and search run off the same data your crew is already entering, so a question like which animals came in on that truck is a lookup, not an afternoon of cross-referencing three files.
- 01EID ear tag capture over Bluetooth, with manual entry when a tag won't read
- 02One record per animal: birth or purchase, weight, treatment, movement, sale
- 03Built around your pens, lots, and loads, not a generic livestock template
- 04Search and reports run off the same data your crew enters in the field
- 05Outside files from a supplier, a vet, or a packer matched back by ear tag
- 06Roles scoped so a depot manager or a consultant sees only their own animals
Scope, then a real number.
Quoted from your brief. We start with the one record that is currently hardest to trust, usually treatment or movement history, and build outward from there.
Every project is quoted from your own brief. No packages, no tiers, and no published price to reverse-engineer your scope from.

Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin are the five states we actively sell into, and we work with livestock and ag businesses anywhere in the US. Mule works remotely, over calls, video, and shared screens, and comes on site when a project needs it; travel is quoted with the work.

Do you read EID ear tags?
Yes. We build EID capture over a paired Bluetooth reader for tags that read cleanly, and manual entry for the ones that don't, so a torn or dirty tag never stops the record. Since November 2024, USDA has required official ear tags on covered cattle and bison, meaning all dairy cattle and sexually intact beef cattle 18 months and older, to be both visually and electronically readable when they move across state lines, and RFID tags generally follow the ISO 11784/11785 standard. We build to read what your herd is already wearing.
Can it hold treatment and health records?
Yes. Treatment date, product, dose, withdrawal period, and who administered it are standard fields, tied to the same animal record as its weight and movement history, so a vet visit or a buyer question pulls one record instead of three.
What if we already track this in Excel?
We usually start there. Existing spreadsheets get imported rather than thrown out, and outside files that keep arriving from a supplier, a vet, or a packer get matched back to the right animal by ear tag, with anything that doesn't match held for a person to check instead of silently dropped.
Does everyone see every animal?
Not unless you want that. Roles are scoped on the server, so a depot manager sees the animals at their own depot and a consultant sees only their own growers.
Does this replace our vet's software?
Not necessarily. If your vet's system has an export or an API, we bring that data into your record instead of asking you to re-enter it. If it doesn't, we tell you that plainly before you pay for an integration that can't happen.

Describe the job.
A sentence or two about what you need is enough to start. We ask a few questions, then a person writes back with the scope, the timeline, and a quote with the line items behind it.
Your domain and your data are yours on every plan, whatever happens. We do not hold a domain or your customer records hostage, not even if you stop paying. Ask and we hand your data over.
