Six lines of work. One studio.

01 / What we do

Six services, plainly named.

01

Web design & development

Custom-coded, mobile-first, tuned for performance and accessibility.

We don't use page builders or off-the-shelf themes. Every page is hand-built to your business, your story, and your audience. Real CMS where it earns its keep, real analytics, real structured data so search engines actually understand what you do.

  • Hand-coded, mobile-first
  • Semantic HTML and structured data
  • Real analytics, real CMS where it helps
  • Full source files at handoff

Quoted from your brief · most sites ship in 2-6 weeks.

02

Branding & strategy

Logo, colour, type, voice, and the guidelines that keep them honest.

Identities that survive being printed on a sign, scaled to a fence wrap, embroidered on a hat, and rendered on a phone, without losing what makes them yours. Guidelines doc shipped on day one so the look survives the next vendor.

  • Logo system, colour, type, voice
  • Guidelines doc on day one
  • Survives a sign, a hat, a phone
  • No CMS lock-in, no licensing fees

Quoted from your brief · guidelines doc ships with the work, and it is yours outright.

03

Content production

Video direction and copywriting captured on location with the people who actually run the business.

Not stock. Not AI slop. Real content from real places that earns the trust customers need before they walk through the door or fill out the form. We direct, we coordinate, we write. In our packages, a real partner photographer shoots on location; we don't shoot in-house, we direct.

  • Video direction on location
  • Copywriting for the page, the email, the script
  • Editorial planning and content calendars
  • Real partner photography, included in packages; we direct, not shoot

Bundled in our packages, otherwise scoped and quoted from your brief.

04

Social media management

Strategy, monthly content calendars, and community engagement across the platforms where your customers already live.

We don't chase TikTok if your buyers are on Facebook. We meet your audience where they actually are, in your voice, on your schedule. Monthly calendar, scheduled posting, real replies.

  • Monthly content calendar
  • Scheduled posting + real community replies
  • Local platforms before national trends

A paid add-on to any plan · priced per scope. Ask us.

05

SEO, GEO & AEO

Technical audits, on-page optimisation, local SEO, and Google Business Profile tuning, plus GEO and AEO so AI engines can find and cite you, not just classic search.

Focus on rural and local search · the kind of queries that move invoices. We also keep your structured data and JSON-LD honest, ship and maintain an llms.txt, and shape answer-block-ready copy so AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and Perplexity can cite the business by name. Monthly reporting that tells you what's actually working so you can decide what to keep paying for.

  • Technical audit + on-page optimisation
  • Local SEO and Google Business Profile
  • GEO/AEO: structured-data + JSON-LD upkeep, llms.txt, answer-block readiness
  • Monthly reporting tied to revenue

Search, AEO, and GEO foundations are built into every site we ship. An ongoing program is quoted from your brief.

06

Marketing strategy

Big-picture thinking sized for small-business reality.

Real budgets, real timelines, metrics that map to invoices. If a tactic doesn't earn its keep in 90 days, we kill it. If it works, we double it. The work is honest because the numbers are.

  • Plain-English marketing plan
  • Metrics tied to invoices, not vanity
  • We say no to things that won't move you

Scoped and quoted from your brief · ad spend billed separately, never marked up.

07 · How we work

Six steps,
start to finish.

  1. 01

    Brief

A real conversation about what's broken and what you want to be true in twelve months.

  2. 02

    Brand

Direction, story angles, voice, drafted small and reviewed together.

  3. 03

    Build

The site, the system, the supporting tools, written by the people who wrote the brief.

  4. 04

    Ship

On-time launch, on a hosting account you own. No drift.

  5. 05

    Polish

Post-launch QA, copy passes, content updates, browser pass.

  6. 06

    Maintain

Optional · we host, patch, back up, and monitor it, and work your search and AI visibility. Quoted from your brief.

08 · For students & apprentices

Bring us your
real work.

We hire from rural high schools, community colleges, and creative-tech bootcamps. If you make things and want a paid spot to learn faster than you would alone, we want to hear from you.

Working spots open seasonally as projects warrant. Send a sentence about what you’ve shipped and a link to one thing you’re proud of. We answer every email.

09 · Common questions

Before you ask.

See the full FAQ
  • What does Mule charge?

There are no fixed plans any more, because a plan prices the package instead of the work. Every project is quoted from your own description of the job, with the line items shown. Buy the project once and you own it on completion. Subscribe with nothing down and Mule owns and runs it until you buy it out, on a buyout that falls every month until it reaches zero and the project becomes yours for free. If you already own a site and only want it hosted and maintained, nothing is built and nothing changes hands, so it stays yours. Social media management is priced per scope. For multi-location rollouts, dashboards, or custom integrations, see /scale.

  • How long does a project take?

Most sites ship in two to six weeks from kickoff, simpler builds in 2-3 weeks, larger brand-plus-web builds in 4-6. The build is part of your plan, not a separate phase you pay extra for. Timing is held in writing at the brief stage.

  • Can I take just the brand or just the website?

Yes. We size scope to what your business actually needs. Take one service, take the bundle, or bring us the part you can't finish yourself.

  • Is it a subscription, and am I locked in?

Two lanes, and the difference is ownership, so it is worth reading twice. Buy the project once and you own it on completion, on your own accounts, and we never take a project you own offline over a billing question. Subscribe with nothing down and Mule owns and runs the project until you buy it out: you hold a licence while the plan is paid, and if you cancel before buying it out, the licence ends and the site comes down. The buyout price falls every month until it reaches zero, and then the project becomes yours for free. Your domain and your data are yours on either lane, whatever happens.

  • Do you work outside the US, Belgium, and the Netherlands?

Sometimes. Our active service areas are Wisconsin, Michigan, Flanders, Brussels, and country-wide in the Netherlands. We take projects elsewhere when the brief fits, ask.

  • Do you do content and marketing automation?

Yes, on the surfaces where automation actually pays back, email sending, A/B testing rotation, scheduled distribution, monthly reporting dashboards. AI helps draft long-form copy but a human edits at least a third of the words before anything ships under a Mule byline. The dedicated page at /automation walks through what Mule automates and what we deliberately don't.

  • Do you build custom software or SaaS?

Yes. Mule operates first-party SaaS products of its own (Mule v1 and the upcoming Nest), so we're not theorising about what's involved in shipping software, it's part of the day job. Custom builds, internal tools, simple SaaS MVPs, and custom integrations run from $3,500 to about $15,200, quoted from your brief. The dedicated page at /custom-saas covers the stack, the honest limits, and what fits Mule's scale.

Pick the part you need.

Send a sentence about your business. We’ll write back the same day with a tier recommendation and a real number.
