Software for feed mills and co-ops.
Mule builds member ordering, delivery and inventory systems for feed mills and ag co-ops: a portal members can order from, delivery dispatch, and dashboards on inventory and account activity. Software first; we also build websites that help ag customers find and order from you.
What we know about feed mills and co-ops.
A feed mill or co-op takes orders from members by phone, text and walk-in, batches and delivers feed, and bills against member accounts, and those three things, the order, the delivery, and the account balance, often live in three different places: a phone habit, a delivery route written out by hand, and a spreadsheet or an accounting tool that gets reconciled at month end.
That gap between order and delivery is where things go wrong most often: an order taken over the phone that doesn't make it onto the route sheet, or a delivery that happens but doesn't get billed until someone notices the account looks light.
Why a feed mill picks Mule.
- 01A member ordering portal so orders come in one place instead of split across phone calls, texts and walk-ins.
- 02Delivery dispatch that ties every order to a route, so nothing taken over the phone gets lost before it reaches the truck.
- 03Dashboards on inventory and member account activity, built from your own order and delivery records.
- 04A website that helps ag customers find and order from you, a smaller, separate line from the ordering and dispatch system.
What feed mills and co-ops usually need.
From feed mills and co-ops.
Do delivery drivers need signal to confirm a drop?
No. The delivery app is built to work offline on the route, a driver confirms a drop at the farm and it syncs once signal is back.
Our member accounts and order history are in an old accounting spreadsheet. Can you bring that in?
Yes. We import your existing member and order records as part of the build, so account history comes with you instead of starting fresh.
Who owns the member order and account data?
You do. It's your mill's or co-op's data, member by member. We build the system around your operation and you keep the data.
We also need a better website for ag customers to find us. Is that part of what you do?
Yes, it's a separate, smaller line from the ordering and dispatch software, but it's something we build, and for a mill or co-op, a website that's easy to find and order from is worth having alongside the system.
How is a build like this priced?
From your actual operation: member count, delivery volume, what's on paper now versus already digital. There's no published price list; you describe it and get a real quote back.
